Hyperthermia
Systems - Hypothermia Systems
From Cincinnati Sub-Zero
Studies have shown
that conductive water therapy is a fast efficient way to provide
patient temperature management and body temperature regulation
after surgical operations.
Body temperature
regulation helps to:
- Reduce wound infections
- Speed the healing process
- Shorten hospital stays
- Maintain proper functioning of body systems

The Blanketrol® III is the latest innovation from CSZ. The Blanketrol® III has the same high flow rate of the Blanketrol® II, but it offers new features and functionality such as a programmable and pre-set variable gradient and a SMART mode to regulate the patient’s temperature. The unit in conjunction with the CSZ's Kool-Kit® provides a high quality Whole Body Hypothermia System. The Blanketrol® III unit is easy to service, compact and easy to move. |
 |
Patient temperature management has never been as effective.
Blanketrol® II is known for having the highest flow rate
of any hyper-hypothermia system on the market. The
high flow rate of this unit enables quicker hyperthermia
treatment and hypothermia treatment. The high flow
rate helps maintain a consistent water temperature throughout
warming and cooling blankets. The Blanketrol® II unit is
easy to service, compact and easy to move. |

The Norm-O-Temp® hyperthermia treatment unit is a cost
effective solution when a dual-application hyper-hypothermia
system isn't needed. This is a micro-processor controlled
system that is self-monitoring and equipped with audible
and visual alarms for patient safety. It is designed for
hyperthermia treatment administered through a hyperthermia
blanket. |

These lightweight, single patient use blankets are designed
for quick patient temperature changes. Even temperature
distribution and efficient circulation make them the ideal
choice for warming and cooling. They have an easy-to-clean
surface, so they last throughout a patient's hospital
stay. |
 |
Maxi-Therm® Lite Blankets are designed with the same benefits
of the Maxi-Therm® Blankets, complemented by a softer, more
pliable surface. Soft because they are made of a non-woven
material, 89% of the blanket's surface area is able to
deliver patient temperature therapy. |
 |
These water blankets are made with an non-porous surface
so they are reusable, durable and easily cleaned. Most
PlastiPad® Blankets come with the convenient feature of
permanently attached hoses. They are a cost-effective
solution to temperature controlled patient therapy. |
 |
The Staff Vest is designed to provide comfort to surgeons and OR staff. This vest delivers the benefits of temperature controlled water through 96% of its surface area and is shown to reduce fatigue and perspiration. The vest is compatible with CSZ's hyper-hypothermia units. |
 |
The CSZ whole body hypothermia system provides an effective alternative to traditional patient cooling techniques. This revolutionary system combines the CSZ Head Wrap, Patient Vest and Lower Body Blanket for a non-invasive whole body hypothermia system. This method of cooling the patient allows for early treatment that is fast, reliable and cost-effective. |
 |
Cincinnati Sub-Zero’s Kool-Kit Neonate and Blanketrol III with it’s “Gradient Technology” provide accurate and safe patient temperature management. This system gives the ability to reach and maintain goal temperature as well as provides controlled re-warming for the patient. |
 |
The revolutionary and simple to use Gelli-Roll combines patient temperature management and comfort. The Gelli-Roll is a reusable water blanket encapsulated in Akton Polymer. It may be used before, during, or after surgery to effectively keep your patient normothermic. |
Why use hyper-hypothermia water systems?
CSZ hyper-hypothermia systems are used for therapeutic patient warming or cooling to provide the following patient benefits:
- Maintains body temperature at normothermic levels
- Replaces body heat lost during and after long surgical procedures
- Counteracts body temperature increases due to secondary infection, such as septic shock, neurological lesions, heat stroke, etc.
- Lowers body temperature to assist in specific surgical procedures
When it comes to improving your outcomes, a few degrees can make all the difference. Recent studies have proven that careful control of body temperature during and after surgery can markedly improve clinical outcomes.
- Keeping the temperature near normal during colorectal surgery has been shown to dramatically reduce wound infections, speed healing, and shorten hospital stays.*
- Cooling neurosurgery, closed head injury, and stroke patients can protect the brain from further damage.*
Conductive water therapy is also the preferred method for open heart surgery procedures when vein harvesting is required.
