Convective Warming Systems
Warm Air Therapy from Cincinnati Sub-Zero
Convective warming
systems contribute to total patient care during their hospital
stay. The benefits of warm air therapy include:
Reduced infections
- Maintenance of warm body temperature during surgery
- Patient warmth after surgery
- Acceleration of healing and recovery time
 |
The WarmAir® warming system is a compact, lightweight
unit that delivers gently moving warm air using a low
velocity blower. All air is filtered through a HEPA
filter and then filtered a second time through CSZ's FilteredFlo®
blankets. This technology helps protect your patient from
airborne bacterial contaminants. |
 |
FilteredFlo® blankets are available in a variety of configurations to provide safe and effective patient warming for pre-operative care, intra-operative care, post-operative care, and outpatient care. Each blanket has a non-woven surface, delivering evenly distributed warm air, and is intended for single-patient use. |
 |
The WarmAir® Warming Tube™ is designed so that you maintain
full access to your patients during surgical procedures.
When connected with the warming system, the tube inflates
and delivers warmth by surrounding, not covering, the
patient with air. |
Why use convective air warming systems?
Improve Surgical and Diagnostic Procedure Outcomes with Patient Temperature Management.
Approximately 60-70% of surgical patients are hypothermic. Recent studies have proven that keeping patients warm during and after surgery and other specialty procedures can markedly improve clinical outcomes.
Keeping the patient's temperature near normal during colorectal surgery has been shown to dramatically reduce wound infections, speed healing and shorten hospital says by 2.5 days.*
Convective air warming provides the following patient benefits:
- Reduces hypothermia during most surgical procedures
- Works to maintain patient core temperature keeping patients normothermic
- Promotes healing and reduces wound infections
- Warms cold patients post operatively
- Helps improve patient recovery time minimizing the length of hospital stays
